A good idea for Windows users. Download the updates. Often. They fix the holes they left in Windows and Office. Don't trust "automatic updates". Out of the 30+ machines I maintain (all of which are set to automatically update), 2 of them actually do.

Microsoft's Anti-Spyware app. It's reached version 1 status, seems to work well. and you can download it from firefox. Microsoft came up with a genuine advantage plug in for firefox, so you can use it to DL defender, at least. doesnt seem to work for Microsoft update, though. Click the link.
